Well, this is probably going to kill off the few watchers I have left, but it might bring in a few more also. I have a confession to make and I;m just gonna get straight to the point…I am now a fan of My Little Pony. DO NOT WORRY, this does NOT mean I have forgotten Gumball! As a matter of fact, I'm loving how Gumball's episodes are becoming a bit deeper and The Shell had me in awe at how incredible it was! Having Penny as a shapeshifter was a really cool and unusual idea! Anyway, I know I used to complain about MLP sometimes and about how you couldn't look anywhere on the internet without seeing it, but about a month ago I had a change of heart. I found a picture of Rainbow Dash in a grey hoodie with the most chill look ever on her face. I thought for a moment, "Maybe Rainbow Dash and Gumball could be friends. They look like they could get along pretty well." I began brainstorming and soon the character drew me in. I started reading fanfics, watching videos, and casting a curious eye to MLP merch at stores as I walked by. Over the last month, my interests spread from Rainbow Dash all throughout the show. I guess the MLP bug got me and it got me good. I knew the MLP fandom was huge and I used to joke about the Bronies calling themselves a "subculture" but now that I've gotten an inside look, I can really see why. I've only just scratched the surface too! MLP is a good way for me to focus on more positive aspects about both it and Gumball, instead of how much AT still bashes it. However, I have very few friends. I only know about 3 real Bronies so far and I can't usually talk with them. I know Bronies are very kind, accepting, and understanding people, but I'd still feel awkward as fuck barging into a Brony forum or something and chatting like I've known them for years. I've tried to make friends with other fandoms so many times and all I would get in return is "Who's this fag? GTFO and go kill yourself!" I am new to the Brony fandom and I still have a lot to learn and haven't seen too many episodes of MLP, but if the Bronies are kind and accepting like they claim to be, then I'm sure any Bronies reading this will understand.
